How I brought operational transparency to a company that had none
Environmental Tech, 2019–2024
Kando, an environmental tech company, operated with no real-time view of costs or performance. Tracking was manual and inconsistent between teams, and every report meant starting almost from scratch. Leadership wanting to know "what does this actually cost us" had to wait weeks for an answer, then trust a number nobody had really checked.
I established the company’s data analyst function from scratch. I built Tableau and Power BI dashboards that pull data automatically and show an up-to-date picture, plus a structured biweekly report leadership could rely on without checking every number themselves. I also built Monday.com project-management infrastructure across the entire operations organization, so work status was visible to everyone in one place. And I ran a deep operational cost analysis to pinpoint exactly where time and money were being lost.
A 15% reduction in operational costs, and a 17% improvement in cost visibility for leadership. Decisions that used to rest on guesswork now rest on real, current data.
